THE EXACT MILEAGE

This is essential data for fleet management. With ACTIA iCAN, you have accurate and reliable data to import into your management software to calculate the cost of ownership of your vehicle, monitor rental contracts, invoice vehicle use or optimise insurance costs based on actual mileage.

ECO-CONDUITY

Traditional data used to measure driver behaviour is derived from accelerometer and GPS readings.

ACTIA iCAN complements this standard information with advanced data, such as engine speed, the way the driver presses the accelerator or the actual consumption of the vehicle compared to the target consumption of the vehicle while taking into account its driving environment (city / road / motorway).

The resulting components are used to construct reliable and detailed driving scores and profile analyses. These scores are now used by major transport operators to award driving bonuses, or by insurers who offer “Pay How You Drive” programmes.

GEOLOCATION

The geolocation is both complete (fully adjustable, additional positions on course change) and RGPD compliant. An on-board switch is available as an accessory in 3 variants (wireless button, wired button, Bluetooth switch from driver’s smartphone). Geolocation can be activated or not according to the wishes of each customer.

DRIVER IDENTIFICATION

No less than 4 methods of driver identification are offered: by a Bluetooth key supplied by ACTIA, by badge, by Dallas key or by the driver’s smartphone.
This flexibility allows you to use an existing identification medium (e.g. employee badges) or to offer your customers the option of replacing their GPS units with ACTIA iCAN units while retaining the same driver identification system.

CONNECTED MAINTENANCE

It uses 4 groups of data:

  • The distance to the next service:
This information is used to plan servicing, to check that drivers have brought their vehicles in for servicing, or to decide whether to wait for the next service if a technical problem is detected.
  • Routine maintenance:
These are all indicators relating to the regular checks that the driver of a light commercial vehicle is supposed to carry out: oil level, adblue, battery voltage, tyre pressure, etc. This makes it possible to “remotely lift the bonnet” to alert the driver and the fleet manager to a problem that is part of routine maintenance.
  • Dashboard warning lights:
Although not very useful for preventive maintenance, remote information on lights can be used to check that no vehicle is running with a light on.
  • Reading and translating manufacturer’s fault codes (Diagnostic Trouble Code): ACTIA’s historical and particularly specific expertise, reading DTCs enables the vehicle to be diagnosed remotely, using the same maintenance data as that used by the workshop. This provides a complete state of health of the vehicle and helps to avoid a vehicle breakdown by quickly detecting the anomaly and anticipating the repair. The diagnostic report provided by ACTIA iCAN is also an interesting tool to define the Repair Order, to control remotely the good execution of the work, or to evaluate the health of a vehicle before its restitution and during its resale.

MULTI-ENERGY FLEET MANAGEMENT

The ACTIA iCAN box feeds telematics platforms as well as fleet management software. It provides accurate and reliable data: mileage but also actual consumption, fuel level, distance to next service, etc.
Today ACTIA iCAN is also compatible with electric, hybrid, plug-in hybrid, bioethanol and gas vehicles. It provides data adapted to each type of motorisation: charge level, state of charge, time to full charge, range, distance in electric and thermal mode, etc.

ACCIDENT DETECTION AND RECONSTRUCTION

ACTIA iCAN has a multi-axis accelerometer that can detect a violent impact in any direction and send an alert message. It also has a black box that can record the data of your choice and thus provide valuable information for reconstructing the circumstances of an accident: speed, direction, position of the pedals, engine speed, time and position, violence of the impact, etc.
